descripção
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
This is probably the most massed played piece of music on Remembrance Day's events and Tattoos.
It starts with Scholefield's "Evening" Hymn "The day Thou gavest, Lord, is ended", shortly interrupted by The Last Post. It ends with Sunset, a traditional bugle song originally orchestrated for military band. This is a fanfare band arrangement. A fanfare is a (not necessarily marching) brass band in which no woodwinds appear but saxophones (1 soprano, 2 altos, 2 tenors and 1 baritone). Where there are cornets in the British brass band and clarinets in the wind band, in a fanfare band the 'violin'-parts are played by flugelhorns.

There are several good performances to listen to on Youtube. This arrangement s' approach is as close as possible to what military bands play.
