- Description
- from the opera Götterdämmerung (Twilight of the Gods), the last of four in Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen.
This is a very truthful arrangement of the famous interlude in act 3: Siegfried's body is carried away in a solemn funeral procession.
Although it seems very difficult looking at the score, in fact an advanced band can play it perfectly. The thing is you've got to have 4 horns, 4 trombones (1 bass trombone), and add 2 extra double basses.
